HOPATCONG - Officers responding to a call of a dispute at a Hopatcong home found a woman sitting on the front steps and her mother dead inside.
Mirna Bolanos called police to the home on Flora Avenue just before 7 a.m. because she said her mother, Ligia Bolanos was harassing her.
Police say Mirna Bolanos was cooperative when officers arrived, and directed officers to her deceased mother in the hallway of the home.

Investigators said Ligia Bolanos, 56, suffered head injuries. A bat was located near the victim.
Mirna Bolanos, 30, was arrested and charged with murder, as well as possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon. She is being held at the Sussex County Jail on $750,000 bail.
Police say they had been called to the house several times in the past for minor disputes between the two.
