Millburn restaurant reopens doors following Irene

MILLBURN - Businesses in Essex County are getting back on their feet following Hurricane Irene. One business that recently reopened its doors is Basilico Restaurant in Millburn.

During the storm, a branch of the Rahway River flooded into the restaurant, filling the basement. After the water was cleared out, owner Mario DeMarco gave the place a fresh coat of paint, new furniture and new floors.

News 12 New Jersey is told that it could take another month or more before each of the other flood-damaged businesses in Millburn reopen.
