TRENTON - The brutal attack of a Millburn woman inside her home has led to the introduction of a new bill to mandate jail time and a six-figure fine for anyone found guilty of breaking into a home.

Assemblyman Jon Bramnick (R-Westfield) introduced the bill Thursday in direct response to that shocking and violent home invasion in Millburn.

"You go into someone's house, you better make sure it's your house," Bramnick says. "Otherwise you're going to jail for a minimum of five years."

The bill would require the same penalty even if the homeowner isn't present at the time of the break-in.
