Middlesex County introduces new mobile command post to help fight crime in the county
NEW BRUNSWICK - The Middlesex County acting prosecutor unveiled a new "mobile command post" that can be deployed anywhere in the county.
The unit is equipped with a satellite dish, floodlights and a generator.
The hope is the new vehicle will help enhance law enforcement's response to natural disasters or crime scenes.

"This will enable them to do such things as process a crime scene, to conduct interviews in the back or to simply meet with other police officers on scene to better organize the investigation and resulting prosecution for whatever crime might have occurred," says acting Prosecutor Andrew Carey.
The county purchased the command center with funds from a New Jersey state homeland security grant.
