JAMESBURG - Middlesex County litigator Mario Apuzzo is preparing to make his second case against President Barack Obama's eligibility to run for president based on citizenship.

The president's birth certificate has been a hot topic in conservative circles ever since the president was elected in 2008. Apuzzo says the birth certificate that was released had been altered.

A hearing on the president's eligibility will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. in Mercer County.

The Obama re-election campaign chose not to make a spokesperson available, and instead responded to News 12 New Jersey's request for comment with an image of a coffee mug it is selling that features the president on one side and his birth certificate on the other.
