Mothers who get around on foot in Metuchen say drivers there need to slow down and keep an eye out for pedestrians.

They say that despite signs, many drivers charge right through when someone is in the crosswalk.

After several incidents of pedestrians being struck on Metuchen's streets, a group of mothers are urging borough leaders and the police to do more for pedestrian safety.
