HAMILTON TOWNSHIP - The Groveville Fire Company fire department in Hamilton Township has to make its case to the public after voters threw out its budget.

Turnout was light for voting and some residents that News 12 New Jersey spoke with said they didn't know the vote was taking place. News 12 New Jersey reached out to the Groveville fire chief to ask how bad the department needs the budget approved, but calls weren't returned. The budget would have added a half cent to local taxes.
