Officials say a Mercer County sheriff's officer was stabbed during an off-duty security job last night.Officer William Osterman was called to the plaza of Kingsbury

TRENTON - Officials say a Mercer County sheriff's officer was stabbed during an off-duty security job last night.

Officer William Osterman was called to the plaza of Kingsbury Towers to help break up a disturbance, according to police.

Police say the officer was then punched in the face and stabbed in the shoulder and chest. He was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
