TOMS RIVER - Police in Ocean County are looking for the two men responsible for a home invasion and robbery yesterday morning.

Two people posing as utility workers allegedly forced their way into a home, bound a man and a woman inside and robbed them, Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy said today.

Police who were called to the home on Yorketown Boulevard yesterday morning found a 5-year-old boy in the living room. After removing the boy, they then discovered a 48-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman tied up and on the floor in another room of the Holiday City at Silverton home.

Nobody was injured as a result of the incident.

Mastronardy says police believe the house was specifically targeted, "I can assure you that the senior citizens of this 1,500 home community have nothing to fear and that this was a targeted residence."

The robbers reportedly made off with more than $1,000 in cash and jewelry.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Toms River Police Department at 732-349-0150.
