EDISON - Memorials marked the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11 at major sites affected, as well as in New Jersey.

At the Pentagon, President Barack Obama paid tribute to the 184 men and women who died when a hijacked plane crashed into the building.

The first lady traveled to Shanksville, Pa., to remember the 37 who died after revolting against the terrorists and causing the plane to crash into a farm field.

In New Jersey, hundreds gathered at the Grand Street waterfront to mark the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center with the view on Manhattan as the backdrop.
