JERSEY CITY - Parents, students and parishioners from St. Anne's Elementary School in Jersey City gathered in the auditorium tonight to hear what has to be done in order to save the school from closing.

School officials say that if parents agree to pay a tuition hike of $500 per child and if the school raises $100,000 to put in a reserve, then it may be able to stay open. Parents at the meeting say they are determined to make it happen.

Parents now have until May 15 to raise the $100,000.
