Company officials say they don't know exactly how many people would be hired in New Jersey, but add that part- and full-time jobs would be available with opportunities to grow.

More than 9 percent of New Jersey residents are currently looking for a job.

Candidates interested in applying are encouraged to visit their local participating McDonald's branches or fill out an application online.
