Mayor, developer believe Asbury Park will be ready for summer 2013

Published reports say the retail developer for the Asbury Park boardwalk as well as Mayor Ed Johnson believe the area will be rebuilt in time

ASBURY PARK - Published reports say the retail developer for the Asbury Park boardwalk as well as Mayor Ed Johnson believe the area will be rebuilt in time for the summer crowds next year.

Many of the boardwalk buildings were spared, including the Grand Arcade and Convention Hall.

Officials say a full restoration relies on drying out, clearing wet debris and getting electrical systems and gas lines back online.
