WALL TOWNSHIP - A 73-year-old Wall Township woman has been confirmed dead after firefighters recovered her body from her home Sunday.

Responders were called to a fast-moving fire at the home of Marion Newman on Allaire Road Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters said the search effort was hampered because the home was very cluttered.  They say that the clutter only fueled the fast-moving blaze that quickly consumed the home in a matter of minutes.

The medical examiner says Newman died from smoke inhalation.

Newman's relatives said she lived alone in the home, except for a few cats.
