Many residents in northern NJ trying to stay afloat amid flooding

LITTLE FALLS - While the Passaic River finally crested on Saturday, many communities remain flooded.

In Little Falls, residents must still resort to boats to get around.

Some homeowners say that all they have is a basement flooded, while others have said they had to evacuate their homes completely.

The Red Cross is expected to be on hand to provide food for displaced residents.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency will be touring the area next week to assess the damage.
