MANVILLE - Help may be on the way faster next time floodwaters rise in Manville. The town's volunteer Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) received a trailer with $12,000 worth of equipment, including water pumps and a generator.

The items are the result of a federal grant to the state. The emergency responders supplement the work of firefighters in pumping out basements and helping residents clean up debris in the flood-prone community.
