Mandatory evacuations issued for parts of Bergen Co. due to floods

SADDLE RIVER - Evacuations have been issued for parts of Bergen County tonight due to flooding. Parts of Hillsdale and Westwood are included in the evacuations.

The Saddle River hardware store was also flooded, leaving a muddy mess behind. The manager, Sakhir Khan, says that the flooding began around noon and knocked over items on the sales floor and ruined some of the walls.

It was not the only business to take a hit from the water. There were also rescue efforts this afternoon to save 16 people from Waterford Gardens.
