PROSPECT PARK - A prisoner who escaped from a North Jersey police station Wednesday is back in police custody.

Prospect Park police say 33-year-old James McKinnon was arrested Saturday after he was spotted in an abandoned home in Paterson.

Police say McKinnon fled the police station Sept. 2, just before he was supposed to be taken into custody.

McKinnon is charged with escape.
