NEWARK - A man who dove into the Passaic River to elude the authorities more than two weeks ago is still missing.

Police say that Keith Jean ran away from a traffic stop in Harrison on Aug. 3. He then dove into the Passaic River and eventually made his way to a storm drain. He has not been seen since, according to officials.

Investigators searched the storm drain system under Newark for several days, but did not find any evidence that Jean was there. Police admit that they are not sure if he survived.

No body has been found.
