Man struck, killed while walking on New Jersey Turnpike

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP - Authorities say a 25-year-old man has been struck and killed while walking on the New Jersey Turnpike.

State Police Sgt. First Class Gregory Williams said that Masud Mustafa, of Chesterfield, was hit by a white box truck while walking on the northbound side of the highway in Hamilton Township around 4 a.m. Monday.

The left truck lane of the highway remained closed Monday morning as the accident was being investigated.

Williams says the driver of the truck remained at the scene and charges aren't expected.
