IRVINGTON - A man was shot at a gas station in Irvington early Monday morning.

The shooting happened at the BP station on Union Avenue.

The man was shot in the groin and leg area. The identity and condition of the victim are unknown at this time.

A worker at the gas station says he saw three suspects flee in a black Jeep.

The motive for the shooting remains unclear, although neighbors in the area speculate that it may have stemmed from a dispute at a nearby club.

Earlier reports indicated a gas station worker had been shot, but News 12 is now told that the victim was not a station employee.
