TOMS RIVER - Police are looking for a man who pushed his way into a home and knocked down a 102-year-old lady.

The victim tells News 12 New Jersey that the incident happened at around 8 p.m. Monday. Evelyn Drucker says that she was sitting down watching TV when the doorbell rang. Drucker’s daughter answered the door and the suspect pushed his way inside.

According to the victim, the man knocked her down and pulled off her Life Alert pendant so she couldn’t call for help. Police say the man demanded money and took off with $35 and the women’s house phone.

Drucker says that the man did help her back up before he left.

“When I fell down and [my daughter] yelled at him for my falling down, he came and picked me up very gently,” she says.

The suspect also left the Life Alert pendants on the front door.

He is described as a white man in his 30s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black knit cap and a coat.

Anyone who might have any information about the incident should call the Toms River police.
