NEWARK - Mike Weinreich says that he received a ticket in the mail for driving through a red light in Newark after the New Year's Eve Devils game.

Weinreich says the $85 ticket came in the mail with a picture two weeks later. Surveillance video shows Weinreich going through the red light, but it also shows a Newark police officer waving drivers through the red light.

Weinreich says he tried to explain this to Newark police, but no one would listen.

Weinreich says he called multiple precincts, touched base with someone at the mayor's office and got no answers. A Newark police spokesperson told Kane in Your Corner "when there's a game, or some other reason that an officer would be directing traffic, the cameras are supposed to be shut down." The spokesperson also says the department is investigating why that didn't happen.

Weinreich says that response isn't good enough.
