Authorities say the man was sitting in his car when he was shot.

RED BANK - A 28-year-old man remains in critical condition after being shot in front of a Red Bank home last night, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said today.

The man was sitting in a car in front of a Willow Street home at around 7 p.m. when he was shot, according to police.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery. His name has not yet been released.

Police say the gunman fled the scene wearing a black hoodie.
