OCEAN CITY - One person was injured when a boat and a personal watercraft collided off southern Jersey yesterday.

U.S. Coast Guard officials say the collision occurred shortly after noon in the Great Egg Harbor Inlet, in waters between Longport and Ocean City.

A boat crew from Coast Guard Station Atlantic City responded and pulled a man from the water. The man, whose name was not released, was being treated at a hospital for leg injuries, and further information on his condition was not disclosed.

State Police are investigating the collision.
