EDISON - A man was killed Friday morning after being struck by a train near the Dunellen station.

A Raritan-bound New Jersey Transit train struck the man near South Washington Avenue and New Market Road at around 2 a.m.

Transit officials say the incident did not cause a disruption of service, and none of the 10 people aboard the train were injured.

Investigators say the victim was trespassing at the time.
