ROSELLE - An early morning fire in Roselle has claimed the life of a life-long resident.

The incident happened at around 5:30 a.m. on Raritan Road.

A neighbor called 911 when she saw the flames, but firefighters were too late to save the life of 64-year-old Al Stapperfenne.

Firefighters say the victim lived in the house alone.

Investigators are searching for the cause of the fire, but at this time, they say the blaze does not look suspicious.
