Man critically hurt in Wayne hit-and-run

A man was critically injured in a hit-and-run in Wayne early Saturday morning, and police are trying to track down the driver.

WAYNE - A man was critically injured in a hit-and-run in Wayne early Saturday morning, and police are trying to track down the driver.

Investigators say a Totowa man was walking on Parish Drive just before 4:30 a.m. when he was hit by an unidentifed vehicle.

The driver left the scene.

The victim suffered serious head injuries and was hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

The man's identity wasn't released and a description of the vehicle wasn't immediately available.

Anyone with information is urged to call Wayne police.
