TOMS RIVER - A New Jersey man has been found guilty of conspiring with one business partner to fatally shoot another one.

Daniele Romeodisantillo was convicted on Thursday in the April 2015 death of 34-year-old Peyman Sanandaji at a closed restaurant his father owned.

Prosecutors say he wanted the man killed to cover up the theft of $140,000 that Sanandaji had paid to invest in two pizzerias and real estate.

His defense attorney argued that he was allegedly shot after a drunken argument with fellow business partner Hector Calderon.

Prosecutors say Calderon shot the victim in the back and then twice in the head after RomedoiSantillo paid him $8,000.
