FREEHOLD - Authorities have made an arrest in the killing of a man whose body was found in a Monmouth County park.

Joseph Villani is charged with felony murder, murder, robbery and weapons offenses in the death of 29-year-old Trupal Patel. It wasn't known Sunday if the 20-year-old Ocean Township man has retained an attorney.

County prosecutors say Patel was reported missing in Asbury Park on Feb. 9 and his car was found abandoned in the city. A ranger in Shark River Park in Wall Township found the Brick man's body on Wednesday morning.

Prosecutors say their investigation determined the killing occurred in an Ocean Township home. But they didn't provide further details or disclose a possible motive for the slaying.

A detention hearing for Villani will be held Thursday.
