Man charged in 2012 Bergen County death of 10-week-old son

FORT LEE - A former New Jersey resident has turned himself in to Florida authorities on charges that he killed his infant son.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office says Michael Marrara, 32, fatally injured his 10-week-old baby boy in March 2012.

Police say the baby was not breathing when officers found him inside a Fort Lee apartment with Marrara and his girlfriend.

An autopsy later found the child died of head and other internal injuries.

Marrara is charged with aggravated manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child.
