SOUTH PLAINFIELD - A lockdown has been lifted at South Plainfield schools.

South Plainfield High School, Middle School and Grant School were all on placed on lockdown this morning.

A miscommunication between a student and a parent led to a 911 call, the borough posted on its Facebook page.

“Police were required to investigate and initiate lockdown procedures,” the post said. Everyone at the school is safe, and no arrests were made.
