LITTLE FALLS - Little Falls Mayor Mike DeFrancisci held a press conference earlier today to discuss flood plans ahead of another rainstorm that could bring 2 to 3 inches of rain to the area.
The mayor said that the town has taken steps to try and mitigate the flooding but said, "We just don't have the ability to try to change the face of the river or the flow."
The Passaic River at Little Falls remains nearly 2 feet above flood stage.
News 12 New Jersey meteorologist James Gregorio says rain is expected to move in tonight and flooding could persist into the weekend.
