Limited NJ Transit train service resuming Friday

TRENTON - (AP) - New Jersey Transit will resume limited rail service on three of its lines starting Friday.

Service on the Northeast Corridor will run between Trenton and Newark Penn Station, while trains on the North Jersey Coast Line will run between Woodbridge and Newark Penn Station. Raritan Valley Line trains will go between Raritan and Newark Penn Station.

NJ Transit resumed full or partial service on 80 percent of its bus routes on Thursday, and light rail vehicles also began running from the Walter Rand Transportation Center in Camden to the Trenton Transit Center.

Agency officials say service to New York's Penn Station will resume once Amtrak's restoration of the Hudson River Tunnels and its signal system is complete.
