TRENTON - The party-backed candidates running for governor in New Jersey will have company on primary ballots.

Two lesser-known Democrats and one Republican filed by Monday's deadline to run against Republican Gov. Chris Christie and Democratic state Sen. Barbara Buono in the June 4 primary.

Former Atlantic City Councilman Seth Grossman is challenging Christie. The 63-year-old lawyer who lives in Linwood says the governor is not conservative enough.

Former Glen Ridge Mayor Carl Bergmanson, who ran in the gubernatorial primary four years ago, is in the Democratic race. So is 42-year-old William Araujo of Edison, who has previously run for mayor.
