LEONIA - Leonia police and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating reports of an attempted child luring this morning.

Police say a 13-year-old girl reported that a man in his 50s approached her and asked her to get into his car to show him where the Post Office was located. The girl said “No, thank you” and then ran away to her home.  The girl says she also saw a younger girl inside the car already who appeared to be upset.

The man has been described as white, with a gray mustache and gray hair.  He was driving a four-door gold Honda.  The vehicle was last seen driving east on Fort Lee Road.

On Wednesday, Ridgefield Park police released a sketch of a black man in his early 20s, who allegedly made an inappropriate sexual comment to two young girls walking home.
