HACKENSACK - Some of New Jersey's top lawmakers have launched an effort to keep patients seeking quality care in New Jersey.

On Tuesday, Senate President Steve Sweeney joined other legislative leaders in taking a tour of Hackensack University Medical Center's cancer center.

"Too often people think they have to go to New York or Pennsylvania because they don't think we have the level of care," says Sweeney. "We have unbelievable care."

According to U.S. News and World Report, hospitals in Hackensack and Morristown have ranked in the top five in the New York metro region.
