TRENTON - State legislators are calling for hearings after an audit of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority revealed millions of dollars in wasteful spending.
Along with frustrated drivers, lawmakers were quick to blast the New Jersey Turnpike Authority for blowing through millions of dollars to pay out employee bonuses built into labor contracts.
Politicians on both sides of the aisle want to hold hearings into how those contracts were approved. The governor's office also has its eye on the contracts.
