OCEAN GROVE - Law enforcement officers from around the state gathered at the Great Auditorium in Ocean Grove today to remember men and women killed in the line of duty.

Officers say the annual New Jersey Law Enforcement Memorial Service gives them a chance to reflect on the oath they have taken to serve and to protect.

This year, two New Jersey officers who died last year were honored. Patrolman Christopher Reeves of the Millville Police Department was killed in a car chase. Detective Sgt. James Hoopes of the New Jersey State Police suffered a fatal heart attack.
