SOMERSET - A Somerset nursing home has earned its way into the Guinness Book of World Records.

Regency Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Somerset gathered together 40 centenarians, or people 100 years old or older. A total of 31 participants qualified with the proper documents, which was enough to beat the previous record. Many returned Thursday for a luncheon to celebrate their accomplishment.

Josephine Patterson, of Lodi, is the youngest among them at 100. "It feels absolutely a gift from god .. fabulous," she says. "Love every minute of it, and I love everybody that put the effort in to doing this and bringing us together. "

The last record was set in England back in 2009.

The New Jersey group made the record on its first attempt.
