NEWARK - (AP) - The Transportation Security Administrationsays an improperly screened passenger entered a secure area inTerminal B at Newark Liberty International Airport.

The TSA says the B-1 checkpoint was closed for about 20 minutesMonday afternoon as a precaution until officials located thepassenger, who was rescreened.

TSA officials say they "will take appropriate action, asnecessary."

The Star-Ledger of Newark reported this was the fifth securitylapse at the airport in 30 days.

A dead dog was taken to a security checkpoint by its owner andwas loaded onto a Continental jet without being screened on Jan. 4.

Earlier this month, two people walked off despite a glitch thatfroze the monitor on a full-body scanner.
