LAMBERTVILLE - Forbes Magazine voted the small Hunterdon County town of Lambertville one of the 15 prettiest places in America.

Residents and visitors to the picturesque 1-square-mile city rich in history, architecture and art are not surprised. They say the article just lets everyone else in on something they've known all along.

Lori and Steve Kenenitz, of Reading, Pa. say there is no place like Lambertville and chose to get married in the historic riverfront city. "We kind of stumbled upon it and fell in love with it," says Steve Kenenitz.

The Lambertville Chamber of Commerce loves to tout the city's highlights. "You can step back in time, into what feels like a 19th century tree-lined street," says Ellen Pineno. "And at same time, you're eating in a restaurant, or experience shopping one can only find in a metropolitan area."

Forbes Magazine called the tiny city a "bright spot" in the state. The magazine looked at towns with charming main streets, a variety of activities, and worth traveling to.
