LAKEWOOD - It's been almost two weeks since a driver plowed into 17-year-old Jenifer Gavilanez and kept going. The hit-and-run driver is still at large.

Gavilanez's family spoke exclusively to News 12 New Jersey in hopes of getting a break in the case.

Surveillance video shows a white Jeep Liberty that authorities suspect was involved in the accident.

The bubbly high school senior was walking home from work when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver at East Kennedy Boulevard and Clifton Avenue on Oct. 7.

Gavilanez remains in critical condition with a severe brain injury and is in a medically induced coma.
