HOLMDEL - A Monmouth County fitness center has reopened after several people were treated for exposure to what officials believe were high levels of chlorine.

The LA Fitness on Route 35 in Holmdel shut its doors last night after several people reported experiencing a reaction to a chemical.

Haz-Mat and emergency medical crews were called in at around 8:30 p.m. 

Several people were treated at the scene. One firefighter was taken to Bayshore Hospital, where he was treated and released.
