LONG BRANCH - Long Branch Schools Superintendent Joseph Ferraina retired this past year and did not receive a large severance package.
According to public records obtained by Long Branch Patch, Ferraina cashed in unused sick, vacation and personal time totaling more than $600,000.
Kane in Your Corner reached out to Ferraina, but he did not return phone calls.
In Jersey City, Superintendent Charles Epps will receive an expensive going-away present. News 12 New Jersey reported that the school board voted Tuesday night to fire Epps, but as a part of the deal, he will get a $260,000 settlement plus $10,000 more in unused sick and vacation time.
