Lt. Jaime Colon is accused of failing to report the incident from early June.

ELIZABETH - An Elizabeth police lieutenant is facing disciplinary action for failing to report a "mooning" incident inside police headquarters.

Lt. Jaime Colon was questioned during a disciplinary hearing Thursday.

Colon was asked about an incident from early June where an off-duty police sergeant "mooned" him and other officers during roll call.

The officer who apparently "mooned" his co-workers was identified as Sgt. James Kearns. The officer remains suspended from the force.

Kearns was part of an earlier News 12 New Jersey investigation in which he was caught on tape organizing parties in which officers drank on-duty.
