UNION CITY - As Kane in Your Corner previously reported, Union City Police Chief Charles Everett earned tens of thousands of dollars a year for off-duty security at the Jose Marti Athletic Field.

Kane in Your Corner's cameras caught Everett exercising at the gym while on the clock. Now, new documents obtained by Kane in Your Corner show Everett's pay was just a small part of the total bill. Last year, the city paid nearly $125,000 in off-duty security at Jose Marti Field.

Union City Mayor Brian Stack admits the figure is disturbing. The documents also show major problems with recordkeeping, including numerous times where police officers appear to get paid double.

Kane in Your Corner tried to speak with the school superintendent and Everett about what was found, but neither returned calls.
