Kinnelon on edge after 3 separate luring attempts

KINNELON - Parents from Kinnelon say they are on edge after finding out that there were three attempted child-luring incidents in the town.

Authorities say that there have been three separate incidents where 10-year-old boys at separate locations have been approached by male drivers in cars.

They say the first incident took place on Gormley Lane and the last took place just days ago. In each case, police say a white male approaches a boy in a residential neighborhood and asks him to get in the car.

Police say they don't know whether the incidents are related, but they're not taking any chances. Cops say they are going to be meeting with educators at the elementary school throughout the week to discuss how to keep parents, teachers and kids vigilant and educated about what's happening.

Parents say the police have them as backup to keep a closer eye on everyone's children.
