Kane in Your Corner: Voice of the Viewer

Many New Jersey residents say they want answers after last week's Kane in your Corner investigation showed pictures of the Irvington police chief possibly sleeping

IRVINGTON - Many New Jersey residents say they want answers after last week's Kane in your Corner investigation showed pictures of the Irvington police chief possibly sleeping on the job.

The pictures, taken from several different angles, show Michael Chase stretched out in a chair with his eyes closed at police headquarters. He claims he was awake and resting his eyes due to dry eye syndrome.

Some say with a salary of more than $150,000 a year, they want to know if he was actually sleeping instead of protecting residents. Others say he has done a good job keeping Irvington safe and should be left alone.
