EMERSON - The Just Pups pet shop’s Emerson location is no longer open.

Just Pups owner Vincent LoSacco says that he decided to shut the site down after Emerson town officials denied his request for a license renewal.

LoSacco is facing hundreds of animal cruelty charges related to his shops in Paramus and South Brunswick.

When News 12 New Jersey went to the Emerson location Thursday, the station found that it was empty and all the pets were gone.

Someone was inside the shop cleaning. That person did not speak with News 12.
